1 – West Point on the Eno5101 N Roxboro St
Hidden gem! Enjoy an afternoon picnic, swim in the creek, take the dog for a walk, go for a hike, or take family photos against a beautiful backdrop.

2 – American Tobacco Campus300 Blackwell St
Rich in history and in photo opportunities!

3 – Bennett Place218 S Blount St
Home to the largest troop surrender in the Civil War, this historic site is a great spot for history buffs.

4 – Bull City Burgers107 E Parrish St
Look for the red light! When it’s on, the pretzels are hot out of the oven.

5 – Bullocks Barbeque3330 Quebec Dr
There are lots of BBQ places in and around Durham, but Bullocks is one of our favorites! They’re closed Sundays and Mondays.

6 – The Carolina Theatre309 West Morgan St
Fantastic small venue for concerts for music lovers. Great acoustics!

7 – Claymakers705 Foster St
Claymakers is a wonderful community gathering center, welcoming
of all artists and students of all levels. It is a great place for people to go for vocation, learning, a sense of community, and healing.

8 – Duke Gardens420 Anderson St
Love these gardens any season of the year. They’re a great escape – you feel like you’re miles away surrounded by so much beauty.

9 – Duke Homestead2828 Duke Homestead Rd
Great insight into the tobacco industry and one of Durham’s most influential families.

10 – Duke Lemur Center3705 Erwin Rd
You won’t find more lemurs in one place than here other than in Madagascar.

11 – Durham Central Park501 Foster St
We appreciate the different types of events they put on like the Summer PLAYlist series, the Food Truck Rodeos, Black August in the Park, the Iron Pour, and more.

12 – Ellerbe Creek

Stadium Dr. at Broad St.
A lovely and not-too-crowded trail for walkers and cyclists alike. Just watch out for the brontosaurus!

13 – Fullsteam 726 Rigsbee Ave
Great spot for beer lovers! Stop by in February when we hope they’ll bring back the Girl Scout Cookie pairing again!

14 – Nasher Museum of Art2001 Campus Dr
For a lovely Sunday, stop by this small, beautiful museum collection and enjoy brunch at the cafe.

15 – Neomonde202 Corcoran St
This new location of the Raleigh and Morrisville favorite serves up many delicious gluten free and vegetarian options.

16 – Picnic1647 Cole Mill Rd
Picnic offers some of the best whole hog barbecue on this side of I-95, but the fried chicken, pimento cheese, deviled eggs, and other choices are exceptional as well. Their Pig Whistle sauce manages to provide an exceptional combination of Eastern and Western style flavors. Well worth a trip off the beaten path.

Great history lesson. Take one of the scheduled guided tours to make the most of your visit.
