Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
(Carolinas Chapter)
The CF Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis. Nearly every CF-specific drug available today was made possible with financial support from this organization.
Durham Rescue Mission
As Durham, NC’s oldest and largest long-term shelter, the Durham Rescue Mission currently serves 400 men, women and children a day, 365 days a year throughout the Triangle by providing safe shelter, addiction recovery programs and much more.
Food Bank of Central &
Eastern North Carolina
The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina provides food to people at risk of hunger in 34 counties in central and eastern North Carolina.
Hope Center at Pullen
The Hope Center at Pullen connects young people aging out of foster care in Wake County with the resources and support they need for a successful transition to adulthood.
Hope Reins
Hope Reins pairs hurting kids with rescued
horses to find hope and healing. All services are free of charge and made possible by generous donors.
Inter-Faith Food Shuttle
The Food Shuttle saves 6 million pounds of healthy food from being thrown away and re-routes it to these people in need. Almost 35% of food distributed is fresh produce. This food comes from retail food donations, the Food Shuttle Teaching Farm, volunteer food drives, and field gleaning.
Museum of Durham History
The Museum of Durham History is a 21st-century museum that uses stories about people, places and things to foster curiosity, encourage further inquiry, and promote an understanding of diverse perspectives about the Durham community and its history.
Rebound provides services to Durham County youth on short-term suspension from school by focusing on their strengths and resilience so that they may develop the skills, supports, and strategies needed to reconnect with their schools, communities, and families and achieve their goals.
