Garett Schwartz is a corporate attorney who advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, and general business matters. He works with companies across a range of industries, with a particular focus on architecture, engineering, and other regulated professional and contracting businesses.

A significant portion of Garett’s practice involves helping clients navigate the regulatory and licensing issues that arise in complex transactions. He assists clients with acquisitions, restructurings, and post-closing compliance matters involving licensed businesses, including architecture and engineering firms, general contractors, home improvement contractors, roofing contractors, security and alarm contractors, real estate brokers, and other contracting professions. His experience includes advising on transaction structuring, ownership and licensing compliance, regulatory filings, and related multi-state legal requirements.

Prior to joining Morningstar Law Group, Garett practiced at a boutique corporate law firm in Charlotte, where he focused on corporate transactions and mergers and acquisitions.

Outside of work, Garett enjoys staying active, following hockey and college football, and cheering on the Florida Panthers and Florida State Seminoles.
