We are pleased to announce that partner Swain Wood has been named to the North Carolina Lawyers Weekly Class of 2023 Leaders in the Law. This award celebrates “lawyers who are setting the standard for other lawyers.” In their recent announcement, Lawyers Weekly shared, “Leaders’ accomplishments include outstanding contributions to the practice of law in North Carolina, significant achievements through the practice of law, leadership in improving the justice system, acting as role models and mentors, and making essential contributions to North Carolina’s legal community and/or the community at large.”
Swain’s selection recognizes his state-wide and national leadership for the past six years as the First Assistant Attorney General of North Carolina and General Counsel to the Attorney General. Swain returned to Morningstar Law Group in January of this year as a partner and to launch our Government Investigations, Negotiation, and Litigation practice group.
