Oscar Castro is a commercial litigation attorney who assists clients — ranging from large publicly traded corporations to local and regional entities — with disputes arising from all aspects of their operations, including construction (lien and bond claims, defects, contract disputes), land use development, and complex commercial litigation.

Prior to joining Morningstar Law Group in our Durham office, Oscar practiced as a litigation associate at Dentons Durham Jones Pinegar in Utah. He enjoys outdoor adventures with his family and is always looking forward to the next Formula 1 race.

Representative Experience

  • Represent regional construction supply companies in commercial disputes. Experience includes successful negotiation against municipal government for payment of construction of airport; entry of summary judgment against multiple major commercial builders; and securing lien rights related to commercial and residential projects.
  • Represent municipal governments, including prosecution of ethical violations and defense of wrongful death claims.
  • Represented national property management company against claims of discrimination under HUD regulations and ADA rules.
  • Represented PayPal in pursuit of $85 million wire fraud and bank fraud conspiracy.
  • Represent national technology companies regarding compliance with state and federal statutory and regulatory schemes, including various government programs and labor commission complaints.
