Matt Limoli is an experienced attorney who represents business owners on a variety of commercial litigation matters in state and federal court. He assists clients with litigation involving business and land use issues, including commercial fraud or misrepresentation.

By viewing disputes from his clients’ perspective, Matt immerses himself in the issues of a case to determine the best strategy for achieving a favorable outcome.

Prior to joining Morningstar Law Group, Matt was partner at a boutique commercial litigation law firm in Kansas City where he represented entrepreneurs and small business owners in state and federal court.

Matt recently relocated to North Carolina. When he isn’t in the courtroom, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, Kim, and their two children, Andrew and Vivienne. He also enjoys skiing and loves the opportunity to travel out west to hit the slopes.

Representative Experience

  • Represented embezzlement victims in lawsuit alleging fraud and negligence by a financial management company and its officers. The defendants settled the claim and the victims received more than $1 million more than their out-of-pocket losses.
  • Represented a casino management company in a misrepresentation suit against an international gaming technology manufacturer. Following a week-long trial, the casino management company was awarded $1.4 million.
  • Represented a tool manufacturer in a counterclaim suit alleging misrepresentation by its commercial lender. The jury rejected the lender’s multimillion-dollar claim and awarded damages to the tool manufacturer.
  • Obtained a refund of more than $1 million in use tax paid to the State of Kansas.
